Athmeeya Yathra One day convention was conducted on Saturday, 13th December at Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala District. The convention started with prayer by Fr. Daniel Johnson at 5:30 pm. Next Fr. Daniel invited AY choir team on stage.Mr. P S Cherian gave a brief idea about the latest CD's and books available at AY publications.
H.E The Most Dr. K.P Yohanan Metropolitan, Believers Church, H.G Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, Malankara Orthodaox Church, Thrivandrum diocese, Mr. Raj Selvaraj, MLA of Parassala constituency, Mr. A T George, Municipal Chairperson of Neyyattinkara constituency, Fr. Joju Mathews Niranam Diocese were the chief guest.
Metropolitan Dr. K.P Yohanan spoke to Athmik Yathra Radio and Athmeeya Yathra TV viewers. During the inaugural session, house key was handed over to an extremely poor family for whom the Church build a new house. This family didn't have a house previously and the Church realised this and constructed a new house by using the money raised during the one day convention held last year. The family members included Mrs. Sreelatha and her two daughters, they came forward and collected the key from Mr. Raj Selvaraj (MLA),in the presence of Metropolitan and Mr. A.T.George.
Fr. Daniel invited Sri. Gineesh Ramesh on stage to receive an award for his outstanding performance in the Revenue Jilla Meet.
Metropolitan shared Christmas message. He spoke to a gathering of about 10,000 people.
The convention ended at 8:30 pm.
