Food Kits distributed at Ambalapuzha

Food kits were distributed to those member who were affected by the tidal surge that took place in the last week of June. 



Most of these members belonged to the fishermen community. Around 20 houses were completely destroyed. These members were taken to relief camps.Around 150 members were severely affected. 

On seeing the plight of the affected members, DORA with the cooperation of Believers Church decide to help them by providing them with food kits. Two programs was conducted, one in Purakad and Ambalpuzha.  A function was conducted at DORA Ambalapuzha branch on 14th July 2015.

Both DORA and Believers Church leaders attended the function. Rev. Fr. Shiju Mathew (Believers Church, Niranam), Mr. Shine Varghese, COO, DORA, Mr. P D Mathews, Sr. Manager Programs, Br. Saju Thomas and Mr. John Paul, Area Manager, Allapuzha were the leaders from Believers Church.

Mr. Sudharshanan A S, Development Standing Committee chairman Purrakad Grama Panchayath was the chief guest for the program.

             Dora 37th branch at Chengannur



On 1st August 2015 Chengannur MLA Mr. P C Vishnunath enlightened the lamp and dedicted the branch to the people in Chengannur. DORA MD. Rev. Fr. Joju Mathews presided the function. Municipal Cheirperson Ms. Shoba Varghese, gave cash award to students who scored full  A + in board exams. COO Mr. Shine Varghese, Sr. Programs Manager Mr. P D Mathews, Rev. Fr. CO Joseph KCCC Executivce Member, Mr. Shajan ALexander ( KCCI IT Cell), Area Manager Mr. Siby Joseph attented the function.

Social Awareness


Social awareness on the importance of organic farming was conducted for our members. In association with Agriculture Department, Government Of Kerala a program was conducted on June 27th, 2015 at Charamoodu branch. Chief guest Mr. Thomson Josha (Asst. Agriculture officer, Muttam) took class on organic farming. 

In his class, he spoke about the importance of growing vegetables at home. Home grown vegetables are free from pesticides and other chemicals. Also he mentioned about the usage of wasteleand. 
Sr. Programs Manager, Mr. P D Mathew, Mr. Saju Thomas, Missionary, Mr. John Paul, Area Manager were among the leaders present. Around 150 members also participated.

5 years and still going..

DORA Aryanad branch completed five years on its journey. They celebrated 6 years on 09-06-2015 at branch office. It started at 9:30 am in the presence of Rev. Fr. James (Believers church, Aryanad), Rev. Fr. Joseph John (Believers church, Balaramapuram) and Mr. Ajikumar M J, Area Manager.


The celebration began with Morning Prayer song and bible message by Fr. James.  Ms. Manjuladevi, Branch Manager, Aryanad presided the meeting and Mrs. Anitha senior FC welcome them all. Then Fr. Joseph John gave message about working for the society and our future. 


Our Area Manager gave message and prayed for the success of the branch. Ms. Manjuladevi thanked God for giving opportunity to us for serving Lord by serving poor people. She also thanked all former AM’s and BM’s who led the branch. 

And she also gave thanks to our Patron, our MD, our COO and all Head Office team for the support for success of the branch in the time. We cut a cake for the happiness of the day. Then Mr. Deepu gave thanks to all and Rev. Fr. Joseph John pray for us and winded up the meeting.

Branch Dedication

36th branch of DORA dedicated on 26th June, 2015.

It was opened at Thamarassery. Thamarassery is a major town in Kozhikode district of Kerala.

 World Environment Day(WED) is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP)                                                                                                            

We from DORA took initiative too do our part. All our branch offices participated by planting a seedling in or around the branch premises.

DORA planted in total 40 seedlings.
